Your Edmonton Mercedes-Benz Repair Experts: 30+ years experience

At Edmonton’s Eurotekk Automotive and Performance, you can ask to have your Mercedes serviced, repaired, or modified for more horsepower, better braking, or better handling.

We have all of the Mercedes factory approved test computers and diagnostic equipment. This ensures we have the most up-to-date information to accurately diagnose and repair your Mercedes, regardless of the issue, be it electrical, mechanical, or computer-related.

In order to provide your Mercedes with the opportunity to run at its best parameters, we recommend that you be proactive, and respect (at a minimum) the factory indicated service intervals.

However, at EUROTEKK, based on our long years of monitoring and observing the quality of used engine oils after the prolonged oil service intervals, we recommend to keep separate the engine oil and filter (from the rest of the factory schedule of service maintenance A, B, C, etc.) – which we recommend to be changed every 5000 KM and respectively 8000 KM, depending on the amount of oil capacity/engine size. Together with regular oil changes, the factory recommended Service A and Service B (which are alternatively performed) will help you enjoy your Mercedes for a longer time, while at the same time keeping your maintenance costs low. Learn more about what Services A and B include in this article from Mercedes-Benz Denver.

The factory scheduled maintenance booklet is a great guide to take care of your Mercedes-Benz, but let’s not forget that this booklet is a “global booklet”, so we can`t quite apply the same general rules for maintenance, but rather they need to be applied based on location. Therefore, we advise our clients to perform a custom maintenance depending on where the vehicle is driven: in our case, the Alberta region. For example, there is a big difference in the way your Mercedes starts and warms up at -25 Celsius in the Alberta winter and how it starts during the summer at +30 Celsius. In some cases you can have more than one choice of the fluids that you can run in your Mercedes, depending if it is summer or winter.

The Mercedes-Benz brand has always been a great choice for anyone wanting to enjoy a beautiful, safe, stylish, well-crafted, and powerful vehicle. We can definitely help you preserve the value of your Mercedes, regardless of whether it is your daily commute, your weekend toy, or if the car is used only for your racing events adventures.

FAQs

The brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs and retains moisture over time. The moisture can travel through the braking components (brake lines, brake calipers, etc.) and cause corrosive damage.

You might have heard about situations where a brake caliper “drags”, a common cause for that to happen is when piston/s gets stuck inside a brake caliper due to corrosion, and the brake remains “applied” at one wheel. This can create a dangerous situation.

To avoid this scenario, it is recommended that you have your Mercedes brake fluid flushed every two years. This way the brake fluid stays clean and free of moisture. For your safety, it is highly recommended you follow this maintenance schedule, and ensure it is only performed per Mercedes recommended procedures.

We suggest Mercedes-Benz power steering fluid be flushed when it becomes contaminated. Contamination occurs when the wear of the power steering components end up in the power steering fluid as a suspended fine powder of metal and aluminum. This contamination creates an “abrasive” action between the moving parts of the power steering system.

There are generally two types of scenarios… The first scenario, the easy one, it that something has occurred just once, and the computer set a code. For example, something related to a one time event, and later on the code clears on its own.

The second scenario is when the vehicle experiences an electrical/electronic failure (sensors, computers, wiring etc.), a mechanical failure of the engine/transmission, or a fuel problem, such as a fuel pressure regulation, or a fuel delivery problem such as a fuel pump/s, or fuel injectors. Or there could be a cooling system issue, like a failing water pump.

You really can’t right away. The worse part of the second scenario is that one failure usually leads to another, which may result in more problems; sometimes very costly problems.

The right thing to do when your Mercedes Check Engine Light comes on is to make an appointment with a reputable Edmonton Mercedes repair shop as soon as possible. If it is the first scenario, great. If it is the second scenario, then we might be able to find the cause, before it becomes an expensive issue. We recommend to book an appointment for your Mercedes-Benz today and have it diagnosed by the expert.

Most of the time you will be able to pick up your Mercedes on the same day. If the car requires extended repairs, it might not be possible to have it back on the same day; however, we will keep you informed on how things are going.

At EUROTEKK, we value our clients and their vehicles too much to suggest a proper quote without having had the chance to properly diagnose the issue. We believe that automotive services are not a cookie-cutter solution for all clients. When deciding on choosing one Edmonton Mercedes repair shop or another, other factors should be taken into account besides the price, for instance:

  • The length of time the technician has been working on Mercedes-Benz automobiles
  • Whether the service technician is up-to-date on the new Mercedes technologies
  • Whether the Mercedes repair shop is properly insured.

After diagnosing your Mercedes, we are usually able to suggest different approaches (and price points). No work is completed without the client’s prior approval.
